If your car is still cruising around with leftover winter grime, or is sporting a fresh coat of spring pollen the students of the 5th Grade class will be ready and waiting with suds, sponges and a whole lot of silliness! Swing by SRS on Saturday, May 16th from 9-12:30 and drive off in a sparkling clean car! All donations directly support their End-of-Year and Moving up activities!

This ADULTS ONLY event is a night of coming together to celebrate our school community, and support our teachers and the excellent work of the Everybody Plays program.

This fun event includes dinner from Shutdown BBQ, hosted bar, and auction items including Eagles tickets, vacations, student experiences hosted by SRS staff, and so much more… Plus games including Mystery Boxes containing more Eagles tickets, gift cards to local restaurants, theaters, camps and more!

Join SRS Home & School for Trivia Night at 320 April 29th @ 6pm! Grab a drink or a bite to eat and enjoy a kid free hour or two. Join our team or create your own!

Celebrate Earth Day at SRS!

Join SRS students and parents for an Earth Day Clean Up of the SRS Grounds. We’ll meet up after school (3:30pm) on Wednesday, April 22nd, near the turnstile door that leads to the basketball court. Help the Earth, help our school, and spend time with friends! Trash bags provided but bring gloves if you’d like. See you there!

WSSD Chess Tournament Wednesday, April 15, 5:00 - 7:00 pm at SRS. This tournament is for any interested students from SRS, WES, and NPE and students of all levels are invited to play! Sign up by April 10th and comment in the sign up if you are able to donate drinks and/or napkins for the players (estimating 120 students by previous counts, other schools will be donating snacks.) If you would like to volunteer and have your clearances please leave a comment in the sign up. We are hoping to recruit 5 parents per elementary school to help Mr. Sharrah run the event. Thank you!

Back by request… Taco Kits from El Fuego!

Family Taco Kits will be available for pick up during the SRS Art Show on Thursday April 9th. Come admire all of the masterpieces created by the SRS students and grab your dinner on the way out! Each kit comes with your choice of protein, beans, soft tortillas, salsa, sour cream, and cheese. You may also add peppers & onions (no charge), chips & guacamole ($10) and/or street corn ($5). All kits are refrigerated and come with heating instructions. Orders can be placed now through Tuesday April 7th!

📚 New! Fall Parent Social 📚

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new event for our parent community! Join us for the Fall Parent Social on Wednesday, October 15, at Celia Bookshop, the new bookstore downtown.

Enjoy an evening of wine, cheese, and conversation, plus a special discount on books purchased that night!

Our goal is to host Parent Socials in the months we don’t have Home & School meetings — giving parents and caregivers the chance to relax, connect and mingle with other SRS families in a casual setting.

We hope to see you there for this fun new tradition!

We’re excited to launch a new series of casual meetups designed to help families learn more about Home & School!

While the kids enjoy a fun scavenger hunt at Little Crum Creek Park (with Munchkins as a treat!), parents are invited to grab a cup of coffee and chat with volunteers from our Home & School Association.

It’s a laid-back way to learn more about what we do, ask questions, and connect with other families — no formal agenda, just good conversation.

We hope you’ll join us for this new opportunity to get involved and meet the community!

Mark your calendars! The annual Fall Festival is happening Friday, October 3, from 5–7 PM. Featuring games, prizes, food vendors, pumpkins, and an obstacle course.

Take a break from cooking on Tuesday, September 30, from 4–7 PM at Luna’s Mexican Grill! Bring a printout of the event flyer and 15% of your dine-in or take-out order will be donated back to SRS.

Join the Home & School team in the library for a Meet & Greet, followed by our first meeting of the year at 7 PM. Come connect, share ideas and help us start the year strong!

After the meeting, head to the Inn for a well-earned drink and some social time!

Want to meet other parents but don’t know where to start? Join us on Sunday, Sept. 14th at 10 a.m. to hang out at the SRS Playground. The kids can play while you drink your coffee and chat with parents, grandparents, or babysitters. See you there!
